View Dates & BookBurford’s High Street sweeps downhill, its three-arched medieval bridge and its impressive church, both sides of the street flanked by an unbroken line of ancient houses and shops.
Little has changed over the centuries, Burford is popular with visitors, for its beauty and history and also for its shopping, especially antiques, and for the wide variety of places to eat, with restaurants, pubs and teashops.
We also pay a visit to Broadway, sometimes known as “The Jewel of the Cotswolds”, a particularly manicured village with boutiques, teas shops, art galleries, restaurants and a shopping mall. The main village street is very wide, or should we say ‘broad’, as it’s lined with fine buildings of cotswold stone, giving it its warm and homely feel.
