NEW FOREST IN THE AUTUMN
We take our second trip of the year to the New Forest. The landscape of beech, oak, and sweet chestnut woods will turn bronze before the fiery scarlet reds, golden yellows, and oranges of autumn. The forest’s evergreen trees, like pines and holly, provide a contrasting backdrop of dark, velvety greens, making a magical scene.
Burley is mostly famous for it's witchcraft. In the 1950's, the village was home to a 'white witch' called Sybil Leek who was often seen walking around the village in a long, black cloak with her pet jackdaw resting on her shoulder.
Our itinerary will be similar to that of that of the 8th April but on the eve of Halloween don't forget to visit 'Away with the Fairies', 'A Coven of Witches', and for all your (or your children's) supplies for the big day, 'Witchcraft'!
