Worthing started out as a small mackerel fishing hamlet, Today it is one of the largest seaside towns on the south coast and is a destination for shopping, eating, fun by the seaside, or simply for taking a stroll along the promenade to take in the Art Deco architecture of Worthing Pier.
We visit at the time of the Worthing Lions Summer Festival. It's packed with a whole host of attractions such as an all-day market, tombola, classic cars, scooter rally and vintage buses, a funfair and much more all in support of the Worthing Lions, who raise so much money for good causes that benefit the local community immensely.
